How To Make Clear Ice
Create beautiful, clear ice without expensive equipment. Using a process called "directional freezing", I'll teach you how to make perfectly clear ice balls, cubes, and sticks.
COCKTAIL RECIPES
Maple Old Fashioned
- 2 oz (60ml) bourbon
- 1 bar spoon of grade A maple syrup
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- Add bourbon to a mixing glass
- Measure maple syrup into bar spoon and drop into mixing glass
- Add bitters
- Add ice and stir
- Pour into a rocks glass over a large ice cube or ball
- Garnish with an orange twist
Tom Collins
- 2 oz (60ml) of a London dry gin
- 3/4 oz (25ml) of simple syrup
- 3/4 oz (25ml) of fresh lemon juice
- Club soda
- Add gin, simple syrup, and lemon juice to a shaker tin
- Add ice and shake
- Double strain and pour into a collins glass over an ice stick
- Top with club soda
- Garnish with a lemon twist and a Luxardo cherry
