How To Make The Improved "Smoke Bomb"

My original Smoke Bomb video is one my most popular, but it involved a very clumsy method of getting smoke into a hollow ice ball shell. This improved method uses the Smoking Gun, which is significantly easier.

EQUIPMENT

1. Breville Smoking Gun
2. Little hammer
3. Sphere ice mold
4. Cocktail picks
5. Syringe (seasoning injector)

SMOKED MAPLE OLD FASHIONED

• 2 oz (60ml) Campfire whiskey
• 2 dashes Old Fashion (or Angostura) bitters
• 1 barspoon of maple syrup
• Pinch of applewood chips
• Maraschino cherry on a pick
• Hollow ice ball shell (see video for instructions)

1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass 
2. Add ice and stir for 45 seconds
3. Add applewood chips to Smoking Gun
4. Place hollow ice ball into a rocks glass 
5. Ignite Smoking Gun and fill ice ball with smoke
6. Cap ice ball with maraschino cherry on a pick
7. Strain cocktail into the rocks glass
8. Smash open smoke-filled ice ball with hammer and enjoy
