How To Make A French 75

The French 75, named after an artillery gun due to its kick, makes for a great celebratory cocktail. Think of it as a Tom Collins but with sparkling wine instead of soda water. 



Equipment

  1. Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, jigger, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, muddler)

  2. Angled measuring jigger

  3. Citrus peeler

  4. Collins glass


French 75

  • 1.5oz (45ml) of gin

  • 0.5oz (15ml) of fresh lemon juice

  • 0.5oz (15ml) of simple syrup (1:1 ratio)

  • 3-4oz (90-120ml) of sparkling wine

  • 2 maraschino cherries

  1. Add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to your collins glass

  2. Add 1" ice cubes or an ice stick (how to make a clear ice stick)

  3. Stir for 30 seconds

  4. Top with sparkling wine

  5. Garnish with a lemon twist and maraschino cherries
