The 5 Easiest GIN Cocktails
Here are five delicious and dead simple cocktails where the ONLY alcoholic ingredient you need is gin. The rest are things you can find in your pantry or a quick trip to the market. This episode also features 5 terrible gin puns.
EQUIPMENT
Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, jigger, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, fine mesh strainer, julep strainer, muddler, cocktail picks)
Gimlet
2oz (60ml) dry gin
.75oz (22ml) simple syrup
.75oz (22ml) fresh lime juice
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice
Shake for 15 seconds
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
Bee’s Knees
2oz (60ml) dry gin
.75oz (22ml) honey syrup (equal parts honey and water)
.75oz (22ml) fresh lemon juice
Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice
Shake for 15 seconds
Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
Clover Club
2oz (60ml) dry gin
.75oz (22ml) simple syrup
.75oz (22ml) fresh lemon juice
5 raspberries
Egg white of 1 large egg
Add all ingredients except egg white to a shaker tin with ice
Shake for 15 seconds
Double strain back into shaker tin
Add egg white and dry shake for 15 seconds
Open pour into a chilled coupe glass
Garnish with raspberries on a pick
Gordon’s Breakfast
2oz (60ml) dry gin
6 lime wedges
.75oz (22ml) simple syrup
4 dashes (1 barspoon) Cholula hot sauce
2 dashes (1/2 barspoon) Worcestershire sauce
4 cucumber slices
Add add ingredients to a shaker tin
Muddle to extract lime juice and cucumber
Add 8 crushed ice cubes to a shaker tin and shake for 6 seconds
Open pour into a chilled double rocks glass
Garnish with a pinch of salt and fresh pepper
French 75
1oz (30ml) dry gin
.5oz (15ml) fresh lemon juice
.5oz (15ml) simple syrup
4oz (120ml) sparkling wine
Add all ingredients except sparkling wine to a shaker tin with ice
Shake for 15 seconds
Double strain into a champagne flute
Top with sparkling wine
Garnish with lemon twist
