Protip: Batching Your Martinis

I'm back with another episode of "Protip" where I partner with a professional bartender on tips, hacks, and recipes for the home bartender. This week I'm joined by Jesse Vida of the famous Atlas Bar in Singapore to share the recipe for the amazing Atlas Martini and why he batches his martinis in the freezer.

Atlas Martini

  • 2 oz (60ml) Ford's Gin

  • .5oz (15ml) Vermouth Blanc (Mancino or Dolin Blanc preferred)

  • .5 tsp (2.5ml) Champagne Vinegar

  • 2 dashes Orange Bitters

  • 1 Lemon Peel



  1. Add all liquid ingredients to a mixing glass with ice

  2. Stir for 20-30 seconds

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass

  4. Garnish with a lemon twist


Batched Atlas Martini

Makes 4 servings

  • 8 oz (240ml) Ford's Gin

  • 2oz (60ml) Vermouth Blanc (Mancino or Dolin Blanc preferred)

  • 1 tsp (5ml) Champagne Vinegar

  • 4 dashes Orange Bitters

  • 1oz (30ml) filtered water

  • Lemon Peel


  1. Add all liquid ingredients to a sealable bottle

  2. Swirl to combine, seal, and store in the freezer overnight

  3. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled coupe glass

  4. Garnish with a lemon twist
