"Flander's Planters Punch" from The Simpsons

Hens love roosters, geese love ganders. Everyone else loves Ned Flanders! Except if he’s making drinks, then I don’t love Ned Flanders. Fortunately I made a massively improved Planter’s Punch courtesy of Smuggler’s Cove.

EQUIPMENT

1. Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, jigger, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, fine mesh strainer, julep strainer, muddler, cocktail picks)

2. Angled measuring jigger

   • Version using ml measurements

3. Collins glass

4. Double old fashioned glass

5. Metal straws

6. Lewis bag

Flander’s Planters Punch

• 3 Shots of Rum (4.5oz or 130ml)

• 1 Jigger of Bourbon (1.5oz or 45ml)

• 1 Daberilla of Creme de Cassis (.25oz or 7ml)

1. Combine all ingredients in an DOF glass over ice

2. Stir and then pour down the drain

Improved Planters Punch

• 1oz (30ml) fresh lime juice

• .75oz (22ml) rich demerara syrup

  • (2 cups water, 1 cup demerara sugar, 3 cups white sugar)

• .25oz (8ml) allspice dram

• 3oz (90ml) Jamaican pot still rum

• 2 dashes Angostura bitters

• Spring of mint

1. Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin with 12 crushed ice cubes

2. Shake for 15 seconds

3. Open pour into a collins glass

4. Garnish with mint
