Alcohol Freeze Pops
Freeze pops were a staple of my childhood summers and came in delicious flavors like RED, YELLOW, and ORANGE. Let's get nostalgic and make our own, and why not get a little buzz going while we're at it.
EQUIPMENT
Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, jigger, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, fine mesh strainer, julep strainer, muddler, cocktail picks)
Orange Freeze Pop
Makes 5oz of cocktail
1oz (30ml) blanco tequila
1oz (30ml) Aperol
1oz (30ml) mango juice
0.25 (7ml) fresh lime juice
1.75oz (53ml) water
Add all ingredients to a container and stir to mix well
Using a funnel, pour cocktail into a freeze pop sleeve
Let freeze overnight
Take out of freezer immediately before consuming, will stay frozen for about 10 minutes
Yellow Freeze Pop
Makes 5oz of cocktail
1.25oz (37ml) Yellow Chartreuse
0.75oz (22ml) pineapple juice
0.75oz (22ml) fresh lemon juice
2.25oz (67ml) water
Add all ingredients to a container and stir to mix well
Using a funnel, pour cocktail into a freeze pop sleeve
Let freeze overnight
Take out of freezer immediately before consuming, will stay frozen for about 10 minutes
Red Freeze Pop
Makes 5oz of cocktail
0.75oz (22ml) gin
0.75oz (22ml) cherry liqueur
0.5oz (15ml) strawberry syrup (equal parts hulled strawberries and sugar by weight, blended and strained)
0.5 (15ml) fresh lime juice
2.5oz (75ml) water
Add all ingredients to a container and stir to mix well
Using a funnel, pour cocktail into a freeze pop sleeve
Let freeze overnight
Take out of freezer immediately before consuming, will stay frozen for about 10 minutes
